Loyalty & Discounts
We’ve always believed that loyalty should be rewarded – not just with points you might never use, but with real, instant savings.
It’s simple: The more you shop with us, the less you pay. Automatically.
We operate an automatic loyalty programme (except where you check out as a guest). We automatically give you a percentage discount based on how much you have purchased from us in the previous rolling 365 days.
As soon as you hit a spend threshold, you unlock a discount, and credit towards postage on every single order you place while you remain in that tier.
| TIER | ROLLING ORDER VALUE | DISCOUNT | POSTAGE CREDIT | START EARNING AT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | $0 – $299.99 | 0% | up to 12.5% of your order | $50 |
| 1 | $300 – $699.99 | 2.5% | up to 12.6% of your order | $40 |
| 2 | $700 – $1,199.99 | 5% | up to 12.7% of your order | $30 |
| 3 | $1,200 – $1,999.99 | 7.5% | up to 12.8% of your order | $20 |
| 4 | $2,000 – $2,999.99 | 10% | up to 12.9% of your order | $10 |
| 5 | $3,000 – $4,499.99 | 15% | up to 13% of your order | $0 |
| 6 | $4,500 – $6,499.99 | 20% | up to 13.1% of your order | $0 |
| 7 | $6,500 – $9,999.99 | 25% | up to 13.2% of your order | $0 |
| 8 | $10,000 – $14,999.99 | 30% | up to 13.3% of your order | $0 |
| 9 | $15,000 – $24,999.99 | 35% | up to 13.4% of your order | $0 |
| 10 | $25,000+ | 40% | up to 13.5% of your order | $0 |
Your annual spend is calculated from previous purchases only over the last 365 days, therefore your loyalty discount may differ from day to day, but you will be notified by email of any changes.
Your current tier and discount information will be displayed on your account page.
Because some of our products are not marked up enough to cover the discount we have allocated you, and our requirement to make a minimum of 10% profit, each individual item has a maximum discount assigned to it. If your loyalty discount is higher than this amount you will only receive the maximum discount for that product. For other products in your order you will either get your allocated discount or the maximum product discount, but this will be displayed on the product page as you are browsing, as long as you are signed in to the store.
Purchases made as a guest don’t count towards your loyalty discount, however if your usual email address is provided at the checkout the prices in the cart will update to reflect the discounts assigned.
Postage fees and gift cards do not count towards the loyalty programme.
Sales
Why We Don’t Do Sales (And Why That’s Good News)
You’ve seen it before: A price is artificially inflated just so it can be slashed by 30% during a “Flash Sale.” It creates urgency, anxiety, and a feeling that if you buy at the wrong time, you’re losing out.
We don’t play that game.
We believe in fair, transparent pricing 365 days a year. We don’t want you to wait for Black Friday to get value; we want you to feel confident buying today.
The Real Reward: We believe that true loyalty deserves real, lasting rewards. Instead of temporary sales for strangers, we invest in you. Our loyalty system is designed to reward long-term relationships, not one-time transactions. The Growable rewards programme is our way of giving back to our most dedicated customers with the steepest discounts we can offer. The more you buy, the more you save – automatically.
- Start Fair: Always get an honest price.
- Stay Loyal: Climb the ranks in our loyalty programme.
- Save Big: Work your way up to a 40% discount on every single order, plus a postage credit on top.
No gimmicks. No countdown timers. Just real value that grows with you.
Unlike programs that reset yearly, your status is calculated daily. We look at every purchase you’ve made in the last 365 days to ensure you hold the highest possible tier.
Once you are in a tier, just sign in to your account. Your pricing on the website will instantly adjust to reflect your personalised tier discount – no coupon codes required.

Postage Credit
Every order earns postage credit. We put money towards your postage, and if the credit covers it, your postage is free.
It works like this:
– We work out the real postage for your order – actual weight, actual box, actual destination.
– Your postage credit comes off it.
– If the credit covers the postage, you pay nothing. If your parcel costs more than the credit, you pay only the difference.
The credit is a percentage of your order, so it grows every time you add something to your cart. Most orders over about $160 ship free within Australia. Your cart shows the exact figure before you check out, along with how much more would earn you more credit.
It works on express and New Zealand postage too. The credit applies to whichever service you choose, up to that service’s cost. So a $20 credit makes a $16 standard rate free, and takes $20 off a $30 express or New Zealand rate. You’re never penalised for wanting your order sooner.
Your tier changes where the credit starts. At tier 0 the credit begins on orders of $50 and up. Climb the tiers and it begins earlier from $10 at tier 4, and from the very first dollar at tier 5 and above. The percentage itself also rises with your spend and your tier, though more gently.
The credit is worked out after your loyalty discount. It’s a percentage of what you actually pay for the goods, including GST (if applicable), and it doesn’t include the postage itself.
It’s a credit against postage, not a voucher. If your postage costs less than your credit, the remainder isn’t refunded, applied to the products, or saved for next time – it goes with the order. That also means an order with no postage at all, has nothing for the credit to work against.
Why we changed from free postage thresholds
We used to give free postage above a set order value, and lowered that value as you climbed the tiers. It worked, but it had two problems.
It gave you nothing until you crossed the line. An order a dollar under the threshold paid full postage; a dollar over paid none. A credit rewards every order that qualifies, not just the ones that clear a bar.
It also didn’t work for everyone. Free postage over a fixed order value is easy to offer to a customer down the road and very hard to offer to one across the Tasman, where the same parcel can cost three times as much. Under the old system our New Zealand customers effectively got nothing. A credit works the same way in both countries – the same order earns the same credit whether it’s heading to Devonport or Dunedin.
We’d rather cap what we contribute and tell you where the cap is. For most decently sized orders the credit covers the postage completely and you’ll see $0.00 at checkout. For the smaller orders, unusually heavy, distant or international ones, you pay the difference at cost. We don’t mark it up.
Ultimately, all you need to know is the above, but if you’d like to read more about how free shipping normally works, and why there is usually a free shipping qualifier, read on…
Why “Free Shipping” Isn’t Actually Free
We’ve all been trained to look for the “Free Shipping” banner, but here is the reality of logistics: It costs money to move a package from our door to yours, whether you pay it or we do.
For example, let’s say you purchase one of our Containerwise seed trays. These trays were purchased from the manufacturer in the UK. The manufacturer has a tiered discount structure that varies depending on how many items we purchase. At this stage in our growth we’re only getting a small discount. Factor in the British Pound exchange rate, money transfer fees, shipping (which is about 50% of the cost of each item), customs duties, customs broker fees, and other incidentals, we might make $6 profit. If we were to send that item to you for free, which costs us around $10 at a minimum, plus the cost of the packaging, we’d be making a loss, and as nice as a business owner wants to be, we’re in business to make a living. No profit = why bother?
This is why the postage credit is a percentage rather than a blank cheque. We contribute what the order can genuinely carry, and we’d rather tell you what that is than pretend postage is free.
Figuring out postage costs is very complex. Each product has a different profit attached to it. The hope is that if you order enough then at least one of the products you buy will cover the postage fee. You’re basically getting that item for free.
When some companies offer free postage, they usually cover that cost by inflating the price of the product. Then they hide the postage cost in the item cost.
If you’d like to read more there’s an article by the well-known, non-biased and research led The Conversation called Does ‘free’ shipping really exist?
We prefer to be honest. We keep our product prices as low as possible. When it comes to postage, we charge you the published Australia Post rate for your parcel – nothing added, nothing rounded up. This means that the postage fee will vary depending on the weight of your order, the size of the packaging, the distance that it has to travel, and the urgency selected.
- No Padding: We charge published Australia Post rates for your actual parcel and your actual address. We don’t invent a flat fee, we don’t round up, and we don’t hide postage in the product price.
- Precision Pricing: Your rate is calculated on the real weight and dimensions of your order and your specific location – not an estimate, and not an average.
- Trade rates fund your credits: Like any business buying postage in volume, we get a trade rate. That margin is what pays for the postage credits above, rather than going into product prices.
We don’t penalise you for wanting your order faster. Your postage credit applies to express exactly as it does to standard, up to whatever that service costs. Express is genuinely more expensive to send, so there’s usually something left to pay – but the credit works just as hard either way.
We believe you’d rather pay a fair price for the product and a fair price for the postage, than a higher price that hides the truth.
Your postage credit is calculated on what you actually pay for the goods, after your loyalty discount and any coupons, including GST. Postage itself isn’t counted. Your cart always shows the credit you’ve earned and what a little more would earn you.
Pricing
We believe that building trust starts with being 100% transparent – especially when it comes to pricing. That’s why you won’t find any deceptive pricing tricks here.
No .99 Games
Have you ever noticed how many stores price their products at $19.99, $49.99, or $99.99? This strategy, often called “charm pricing”, is designed to play a psychological game with you. On a $4.99 item, price is actually $5, but your brain is tricked into focusing on the lower number, making the product feel like it is $4, a dollar cheaper than it truly is. It’s artificial, and quite frankly, it’s unnecessary and insults your intelligence.
Our Commitment: Honest, Clear Pricing
We reject that strategy. When you shop with us, you’ll see prices like $21.36, $53.94, or $100.02. You may see the occasional price ending in .99 or .95 but that’s only because it’s the actual price, not artificially inflated.
- You pay the actual price. No rounding up to create the illusion of a bargain.
- The price is crystal clear. You can see, at a glance, exactly how much you are paying.
- We respect your intelligence. We value your business and prefer to be direct rather than rely on psychological manipulation.
With us you get honest value with honest pricing. Always.
