The CD60 Propagation Tray is the result of a direct collaboration between Containerwise and world-renowned No-Dig pioneer Charles Dowding. Drawing on over 40 years of commercial growing experience, this UK-manufactured tray was designed to meet Charles’s exacting standards for his own market garden, Homeacres. It offers a professional-grade, sustainable alternative to flimsy, single-use modules that frequently end up in landfill.
Expertly Refined Root Architecture
The CD60 is engineered to produce the highest quality seedlings. Each of the 60 cells is designed to foster a healthy, vigorous root system. When used in conjunction with a large base tray, the system facilitates air pruning, which prevents root spiralling and encourages the development of a dense, fibrous root ball. As Charles Dowding notes, this range is suitable for almost all vegetables, from delicate herbs and brassicas to quick-start crops like sweetcorn and broad beans, ensuring they are perfectly established for a seamless transition to the garden.
